This is amazing! Is it a raccoon dog? Because I know that raccoon dogs (tanuki) are sometimes referred to as mujina, and it sort of looks like one.

Yay! Well then you have even more praise from me because raccoon dogs are my favourite animals. But no one seems to pay them any attention...
Then you go and do this fantstic painting of one.
So thank you and once again, you're amazing! ;D

whoa, epic effects i love the colors! xD
this was brilliantly done, great job.
though i'm kind of confused, what kind of animal is it?
it looks a lot like a werewolf, but at the same time it looks like a large cat mutant of some sort..?

I'm not the artist, but I know mujina is an old Japanese word for badger (altho in some parts of Japan in other eras the term mujina was used for raccoon dogs and tanuki used for badgers instead). that makes me think this is probably a badger-based creature.

I'm not sure. What is this cool creature? A raccoon? A badger? What exactly is it?

looks like a wolverine all hyped-up on magic mountain dew, and he's gonna come at us like a spider money

I will admit, the concept of spider MONEY is far more terrifying than a spider MONKEY. Thank you for inadvertently making me terrified to reach into my pocket ever again...
