Description
***This is NOT mine. I in no shape or form did this picture. All credit goes to Hiromu Arakawa. This is being shared for all FMA fans enjoyment!***Scanned DVD jacket art from the Full Metal Alchemist The Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa...
Was stunned when I opened it to see this gorgeous watercolor on the inside. Probably one of the best jacket arts I've seen. Just had to share it with everyone. Especially for those people who might not get to see the jacket art because they can't buy the actual DVD.
If you haven't seen the movie, SEE IT. Well actually see the anime series in full first or you'll just be lost in the movie. But its one of the best series to movie staying in CANNON with actually manga storyline that I've seen to date.
Saw the first English US showing at Otakon '06 this summer WITH the English voice actors there. Was absolutley insane and a really awesome memory.

Conqueror of Shamballa is by far the best animated movie I have seen in a LOOONG time!!
...
((Okay, is that Al Elric, or, Al Heiderich in the pic? I mean, eyes and hair look Elric, but, clothes look Heiderich. :/))

The original anime doesn't stay canon with the manga... It goes off on a tangent. Brotherhood follows the manga almost exactly. I prefer Brotherhood, but the original's definitely worth watching
And I agree. SEE THE MOVIE.

I absolutely am in love with this picture and FMA, and the movie is nice, but in the description you should probably change the canon part. The first FMA series wasn't that canon at all.
*minor spoilers*
The manga is at 101 and Al still hasn't gotten his body back, though it has been heavily hinted that he's going to really soon out of necessity, to put it vaguely.
*spoilers over*

Yes, I just about hit the floor when I opened my DVD back when I first bought it. I love this artwork so much! I still like to open the DVD case and stare at this. I thought about hanging it on my wall, but then cataclysmic events would follow. xD

It is an awesome movie, but I don't feel it's stayed canon with the manga at all, considering all the different things that are currently happening in the manga, EdxWinry being one of those things and in the movie the try to pair him with some clairvoyant gypsy? C'mon >.<

I stopped reading the manga when the anime series ended. I was never that huge of a fan of the manga, just a huge fangirl of the anime. Also, when I say cannon I mean characters being who they actually are in the series and not much couples cannon. Just my 2 cents worth...

LOVE this pic and adored the movie!! I love the look on Al's face there, he's just so eager to learn and thrilled to finally be back with his brother.. *happy sigh*

yup i saw that version at the store after i bought this one. this was the orginal release version, though i'm curious as to whats in the booklet and what the new artwork is?

PhOeNiX-DrEaMs16 In reply to Fay-yasha [2007-02-14 07:05:40 +0000 UTC]
The booket has info from the making of the movie and explains some of the technology and stuff in the movie. It also has character sketches from the movie. The artwork is 10 postcard sized cards with the charactors in different positions... including what i think is the origional dvd front cover art.
hehe its kinda hard to explain so i hope that made sence!
