I'm not sure where the picture of the elf and the drow came from, but I loved it when someone gave it to me awhile back, and just now decided to do something with it. I have one that has words on it, but that one is hideous so I'm going to forget I even made the second one.Edit: Someone told me who made the picture of the elf woman and the drow man (thank you again!). Since I know how much it sucks for someone to steal artwork, here's the link to the original picture by Silent-dream!

This reminds me of a romance (or shoujo) manga I'm going to draw. It's about a ijosalfir or light elf princess and a svaltafur or dark elf peasant boy and in the story the light and dark elves have been feuding so it's a romeo/juliet story (but mine don't die!) Very nice picture though! I wouldn't have the patience to draw that well on the computer.

Somehow this union reminds me of Link and Dark Link. So if by chance, Hylians are Elves. Would that make Dark Link a drow if he had his own body?

Are the drow from some game or something? I've never heard of them.

Drow are originally a gaming creation for the game dungeons and dragons I do believe ... at least that was my first encounter with them, there is also drowtales which elaborates on the kinder side of the drow race.
Drow are basically the underground evil versions of elves. So to see something like this image is extremely rare.

also drow have dark grey to black skin usually with a slight purple tint and brilliant red eyes and the dark elves have dark brown skin and dark honey to black eyes

yes and no, it depends on where you look, in a lot of cases they are the same but for most instances they are not because drow are usually only of an evil alignment whereas dark elves are just dark skinned elves and can have any alignment
