Commission for . His character, Alister (sooo cute). <3 Hope you like.I've been using lots of blues/greens/yellows lately!!! This is odd for me. Usually everything in my gallery is red or purple or orange or some shit. I'm a warm color person. But playing with the cold end of the color wheel has been really fun on my last pieces.

Ah, another hit from one of my favorite artists! This looks fantastic. The mouth is in an interesting shape, I like it. And as always, there's that amazing texture (which I finally figured out how you do after looking more closely at your tutorial, I apologize for asking you so much about it).

It's quite good, better than I could do by far, and the coloring is brilliant.
However, and this is a mistake that everyone makes including me, the feet are super small/short. On real humans feet are usually about the length of a person's face, and if you account for foreshortening in this they're not big enough here (particularly the back foot which looks like it almost doesn't exist, which is too extreme).

I probably did push the back foot too far back to be accurate. I was going for a very force perspective and illustrated look, not to mention I just tend to draw the feet small on characters in general. To make it more effective I probably could've exaggerated the size of the nearer foot to justify it, I just didn't push it enough.

I love that you do nonconventional pieces. For instance, you didn't draw Alister standing and looking cool, you made him /move/, and added a livelyness to him as if he was your own character. Plus, I adore your coloring style. Bright and saturated and slightly shiny. You inspire me.
