Part 1 of a 3 piece series. <3 My power team in FF7, and we all know Cloud is a badass. Who will the other two be??Old school Cloud!! Because I like being nostalgic and honestly, this is how I still see these characters. Named after a Jason Mraz song, coz the title reminds me of FF7Cloud. Don't know about you guys, but I miss my crazy Cloud. I don't understand why he's suddenly a pot of emo. BUT THATS JUST ME.

I do agree with you about his personality change in FFVII:AC, but I do like his new outfit. Something about him having that side skirt thing makes me think he looks really cool xD.

Why emo? Eh, could be a case of Character Derailment or because after being crazy, he could just be breaking down. Who knows?

(If you can't tell, I get it, "Cloudy with a chance of meteors." Trying to parody the movie Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, eh? Well, you did well. I'll add this to my favorites right now.)
I love this piece! I agree with you, I miss the mysterious, slightly crazy old Cloud. The 'new' Cloud, as he is in games like Crisis Core, is pretty, but too emo to be hot.

To answer your question though,
Cloud was kind of emo for about 1/4 to 1/2 of the game, from somewhere after Aeris's Death up the time he recovered from the mako poisoning he suffered from falling into the crater in the Planet left by the WEAPON attacking that village.
He was made emo again in Advent Children because Tetsuya Nomura thought that the fans of the series would relate to him better that way.

Also, he became a pot of emo, because he fought down Sephy aka the source of his madness in his mind at the end of the game. This put the crazy out of his craziness, and left only the emo-ness of not being crazy enymore. I'm overly complicated... no matter, but the point is... I really miss the old Cloud. :8
