These styles are not mine!!Trying to find something to freshen up my artwork and re-evaluate my style. I decided to do an experiment and draw one of my characters (Rivec) in a bunch of different styles that I draw from and look up to. THE ARTISTS WOULD BE SO ASHAMED. I totally butchered their style. But I learned a lot, so hopefully they shall forgive me. They are...
Road to El Dorado, Atlantis, Miyazaki, Yi Lee, and Tetsuya Nomura (before crisis style).
I wanted to do more, because I could go on and on forever and this is fun, but I wanted to move on to other things. It was a nice warm up though that I might continue. :>
I will move this to scraps later!
Thanks again to all who gave me advice and encouragement in my journal. I shall get through this art rut!!! 8< *determined*

i can't lie, i love the road to el dorado style.

i think the atlantis one is spot on, but the road to el dorado one might have too much detail in the hair to match the style. the face works though.

mmm. road to el dorado was just on tv this morning. i never get tired of that movie. though i did just realize i let an 8 year old watch something with cartoon ass in it. oh well.
anyways, hurray for many rivecs! i will trade you him for 2/3ds of a chicken pot pie. they all look awesome, regardless of style. and all of the styles look good to me, so no more crazy-cakes for you. i'm partial to the the first/el dorado one. because. y'know.
that's a stouffer's pot pie, mind you. high-quality.

I watched it tonight to try and get some more inspiration, with the plan of trying to draw some while I was watching. That didn't work so well and I ended up just watching. Hah!

The ElDorado and Atlantis ones are absolutely wonderful! Not only are they two of my favorite movies, but it's as if he belongs right in them! This is a really fantastic idea as well!
