Description
My most recent, started off in PS7 and finished throughoutI tried colouring in Painter but it's difficult to master so I stuck with PS
Had fun creating the rain effects, I've done them before but to a very small extent, this time I got to do puddles and drops of water falling into them
Inspired by those English days when you come home with sopping wet trousers, because days like that suck
EDITS: Changed the background, with help from ~SongSprite and the lighting on the girl with help from ~lazydragon , thanks dudes

very dramatic effect. I like how you draw and colour render the background. Although I think there's a slight little thing u should keep in mind. Since the light source comes from the back, I think it would add more impact to the picture if the character's side is effected with shine while the middle part of the character is slightly darker. O_O; u get what i mean. Other than that, I think this one is a good piece.
Keep on producing~ >v< Truly inspiring!

People have been giving really good crit on this one I've edited it with your suggestions, I made the contrast higher on the girl so the light source is more striking as from behind, and it is supposed to be a dark daytime rainstorm (I should have explained that lol) so you should be able to see some detail of her front
Thanks for the fav too ^.^

Oooo. I have to say I like this one more than most of your recent ones (xept link... i really liked how that one turned out). I also love the rain and the rainbow around the car headlights. Her expression is perfect, I think, and the umbrella also came out really well. ^.^ I also think your shading is excellent.
As usual, I think the hands could use a bit more work. The way they're on the umbrella is a tad odd looking to me. What I usually do in this type of situation is find a random umbrella shaped object and have someone hold it the way you want, and just see how long the fingers should be and stuff.
Still, overall, I really do like this one.

Gahh D: I hate drawing hands They're the never the thing that turns out well I'm working on hands, I look up tutorials on here and have a go after reading through them
I'd so use my own hands as a model but they're so weird looking Lets just say I inherited my dad's hands
Tis all practice

I hate hands too -.- I keep experimenting with different styles, but it never quite turns out the way I want. I inherited my dad's hands too.

Wish I had that much patience. x.x I can't 'sketch', which is why it takes me so damn long to get better.

Yeah, sometimes I can't be bothered with crit and just feel like saying 'oh shove off I just want to be told it looks awesome' but then I know it's for my own good And if I follow it then one day people will just say my drawings are awesome
Time and practice my friend

I always want critiques even though I won't do anything about the actual piece, I just remember it for later pieces. Luckily, it's a lot easier to take into acount stuff for photography. Take 10 shots and choose which one you like best

Lol, it only really works with a digi cam. Otherwise it's a waste of moneys.

Nice pose, great job on the wet trousers.
Two critiques:
1. puddles don't generally have outlines on cement. At night they are visible because they are very dark except where they are reflecting... Normally when you look at puddles on cement at night, the cement is more neutral, more smooth, with more medium tones. The puddles have way more contrast.
In this picture you've done the opposite: your puddles are smooth and cream-coloured, reflecting the headlights but only softly; your cement has the brightest brights and the darkest darks.
2. She looks like she's floating. Even though there is no sunlight to cast her shadow, you should still have a little bit of shadow around each foot, and directly underneath her legs. Shadows would help her to look like she's actually on the ground.
Also, you could put some ripple rings around her foot that's on the puddle.

Thanks for the critique
Uhm it is meant to be during the day, it just looks really dark because of the clouds (yes I have been in such a dark rainstorm lol)
I've used your critique to edit the pic and am about to re-upload it with edits

It looks really good now! Never be lazy with your backgrounds, because your drawings are too good for that, sweetie. Great job working with all the critiques on this one!

I prefer crit to a small comment like 'ohh that's nice' lol or I'd never improve

That looks *way* better, awesome job!
My only remaining thought is that the 'shine' on the puddles could still become a little bit more true to life. Here are some photos of rain I got off google so you can see what I mean:
