A little under 60 layers later and four months of coloring a centimeter every two to three weeks (That, my friends, is true procastination), I present to you my chibi of Fernando Torres.I drew this the night Spain lost to France in the second round of the World Cup 2006. The date on my sketch tells me it was June 29th. I guess I can call this my summer piece, because I'd come back to it every now and then and color a little. I can barely believe it's finally finished!
I cursed Nando's hair to hell while I was coloring this (He's got freaky little hairs now--Not Kidding ). The shades changed a hundred times and they're still not right
I worried about doing his tattoo but it was surprisingly easy.. The jersey drove me crazy. I'd finish drawing the curvy lines and stripes and check the original kit and realize that no, I drew it wrong. It happened a bunch of times and guh- stupid jersey.
There was a lot more annoyances but if I keep ranting I won't stop xP Let me know what you guys think of the piece!

The details of every logo on his shirt!! The freakin jersy itself man!! and the pretty shorts! >< also the identical colors of it all!! woah you fit ALL of that and those intricate lines and addidas logo and ... gah!.
The smooth color change of his hair, and the detail of the strands!! How the heck to you make TORESS'S hair blow with the wind is beyond me! I'm sure you must've had hell for that. The all too awesome (CLEAN) lineart. *stares* ... is pefect.
And those big glossy glossy eyes! the deep coloring, and shading is awesome! The chocolate colors from the dark middle (seriously he's one of those few who has those glossyness in his eyes in reality aswell.) And not to mention is cute CUTE smirky grin ... awww adorable!
The background!!! *envies* GOSH!! The knee deep grreeeeny grass and the cloudy shades of those pretty blue sky behind contrast beautifully. Especially with Toress' complexion and clothes. The leaning of the grass blades and his hand motion with the hair and the clothes you could almost see the wind behind those cloudy blue skies! XD
And most defiently one of your cuter cuteeeerrrrrr footballer chibis OF-COURSE! I appriciate this piece of work fully and shall encourage you further my love!!

Aaah, the background, a last-minute touch because I figured; Hell, I spent four months working on this, it'd be a shame to leave it with a white background, even though I totally wasn't in the mood for it. I tried to copy actual soccer photos with the blurry-spot backgrounds, I think I did okay.

Its very cute! i love how you included all the detail into the spanish Jersey and all those different shades in the hair . Although I must comment on the arm & head positioning its a bit 'off ' from the original pose

Oh, yeah, I totally agree on the positioning. When I drew it I was sad about Spain and just doodled up the first thing that came to mind.. halfway through coloring it I checked over the actual pic and was like, "Damn!"
