Description
"Where did I go wrong? I lost a friendSomewhere along in the bitterness
And we would have stayed up all night
Had I known how to save a life...
Let him know that you know best
'Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
Pray to God, he hears you
And I pray to God, he hears you" the fray-how to save a life

beautiful. This painting shows the complete opposite of what the artist should feel though. Β Some times I feel like a failure because I am a wallflower, and have spent endless hours puzzling over where I went wrong- but what's real is when you are learning what you need to to explore the nature of your world and not telling lies about who you are or trying to control other people with your truths then you did not go wrong. Β If this here is the face of the artist then do not be sad thinking you went wrong, because you can create true art- that does not force itself to be understood or taken for anything other than way it is, which is what art should be about to flow with time, the ebb and flow of nature. Β (conceptual art is selfish, just like the people who make it, they will not change the world by enforcing their ideas, but some one who portrays nature and allows the calm freedom of contemplation to discover their own ideas will) So if this is a self portrait, Where did YOU go WRONG? Look at this piece woman, you didn't. Peace, namaste, cheers

thank you very much for this comment, but this is not me or about art either, this portrait is trying to talk about relationships, about two friends who lose touch, and there is too much wrong in their relationship, too many mistakes and things wrong, one is telling to the other , "Where did I go wrong?", trying to see what the person could have done better, but at the end, the other person changed, is not the same anymore and didnΒ΄t try hard or kept the promises made, so the bond is broken, and it hurts. In resume, she is sad because another person she really cared for hurt her.

Even without the title and quote the expression and body language say so much about loss and regret.

Usually, the titles of pieces are superfluous... the art is what truly matters. But here, it almost allows you to connect even more to the person pictured.
I aren't often moved' by art, but I say with pride that I am moved by this one..

It's always sweet to look at artwork and wish to live inside of the drawings..
It's just as great to see your own feelings portrayed into a work of art; just being able to relate to it. You know?
Great job!!

When I saw the title of this piece, I already hoped you quoted it from 'How to save a life'...
Very beautiful, als always.
And is it just me, or does she really look a bit like Isaac Slade?
