Description
The tradition of magical symbols has its history going far back to the beginning of human existence. The idea of creation as having an innate power was apparent to early man. Those who could draw, who would draw, were regarded with high esteem.

There is a type of magic practiced by modern users of the art called Chaos Magic. Its main focus is sigil creation and empowerment. Each practitioner creates their sigils and places their own energy within the images, within the mental protocol brought forth by recreating the image itself.

ERRANT Studios has created a fictional universe... within which, the creators are all-powerful. We decide the fates of entire worlds on our whims... To commemorate this universe, to play on the fictional power we have... we have developed a type of 'society' which is integral to the studio. Core and Executive members are required to have a studio name... a title agreed upon by the entire group.

Each name has a sigil, developed by the originator of this practice... me. My name is Enigma, and my sigil is the bottom-most coin in the above image. Clockwise from that is Theia, Beast, and Phoenix.

Each name has special meaning to the owner. Each sigil is based on the meaning. They allow us to hold onto a ritualistic view of creation. They allow us to not degrade the studio fully into the soulless business world. They remind us that our souls are tied to this universe we have created, it is a mirror upon us, and how we treat our properties is a direct reflection of ourselves. They are a solemn promise that we will take the properties, and the studio, more seriously than a business venture.

Also, they look fucking awesome. xD

We're likely going to mint them in 2014, after our first year project. I'm hoping to have them made out of Rhodium and Platinum. I want some kind of RF chip or other identification device embedded within it so it will actually be functional as an identification device. New sigils may be made, but only one coin will ever be made of any one sigil. No redesigns, no replacements, no excuses.

The coins will come with specially designed pendants which they will lock into for easy carrying. The entire setup will be designed to be practically indestructible in terms of corrosion (rhodium and platinum are anti-corrosive materials) so that the wearer will be able to keep the coin with them at all times.

This is not only in an attempt to placate paranoia... but also cause it makes us feel like secret agents or leaders of some weird cult... which feels a lot like role playing... which we're into. xD

Anyway, I designed these today... Only mine is finalized, Theia has seen hers but may have another opinion later as I'm giving her time to think about it. Beast and Phoenix haven't seen their's yet. Phoenix has been working on his own design, but I wanted to throw my hat into the ring.

Since the creation of the first three, Indestructible's name has been changed to Phoenix. We feel it is more descriptive of his life and overall existence.
