I saw a stamp that says "Homestuck is better than Hetalia". So, I decided to say "Hetalia is better than Homestuck".But honestly, I tried to read Homestuck. It didn't go down too well. My eyes began scrunching up painfully. Part of it was because I didn't like the art. But just from the beginning, I really couldn't get into it. It just didn't appeal to me, to be honest. Not my cup of tea, you could say. From the beginning that I read, I didn't see a plot, although if I had continued, there probably would have been one.
I just couldn't handle it. I don't like it. At all. I honestly don't care if other people like it, though. It's fine if you're a fan.
I love Hetalia. It had a more interesting beginning, imo, with the funny world conference and stuff. I thought it was amusing, and it seemed to start out with a plot, although that kind of dwindled away in the later episodes. (I'm talking about the anime, not the manga). It just appealed to me more.
So therefore, in my opinion, Hetalia > Homestuck.
Hetalia has a shit fandom though.
However, from speaking with many Homestuck fans, they said that Homestuck also has a shitty fandom.
Some people say "But you can't compare the two". Maybe they're right.

yeah, I've been wondering what homestuck was when people started to comparing it to hetalia and I saw one picture... I was like how does this compare to hetalia?? O.O

yeah, "one picture". There is alot of art in Homestuck that is far better than hetalia. Not to mention, better music and also fully animated scenes. The animation in Hetalia is lazy as hell. The only thing they do is pan back and forth, and flap those animu mouths open and close.

..... um...they do more than pan back and forth..and I did keep reading after my reaction, it's not like I stopped after..but u probably didn't know that ^^. And I'm not saying the art is bad, I just don't personally like it. And its all about opinion ^^.

that explains why you never got a chance to see amazing homestuck art... that only appears after about 2000 pages. But if you can't stand it, it's obviously not for you. After all, not everyone can like everything.

I appreciated the artwork in Homestuck, but after awhile it got plain annoying.
I adore Hetalia for it's stereotypical-ness. It's more humorous and inspirational than Homestuck, at least in my cause. I hope you don't mind me using this stamp. <3

Obviosly, you only saw the first few pages or so. Homestuck is serious business that requires patiance. When you are patiant (the same thing happens in many great classical works), you will be rewarded with an amazing story. As for hetalia, even I could make something better than that! But I do admit hetalia is sometimes funny.

That isn't true. I'd had friend that said you have to make it in pretty far to actually get into it. I made it past 1000 pages and Homestuck still made no impression on me. The art sucks, the plot is blegh, and the characters boring.

You said you have to read far in to like it, never how far. I believe 1000 to be way more than enough to find out if something is worth it, most books get dropped within the first chapter. 3-4 thousand pages though? Too much for anything.
