SleepWings are a rare, elusive tribe of Phyrria, living deep in the cold oceans off the coast of the Ice and Sand kingdoms.

appearance
SleepWings are a pale or dusty purple, pink, or blue, with slightly darker-toned eyes.
Royalty have pale yellow stars underneath their wings, while common SleepWings have one star on each of their thighs that aren't yellow unless they are born with the gift of prophecy.

They have curled horns and thick blubber and fat stored in their tails and legs to help them survive their hibernations.
They usually have cloud-like forms on their wings and no pupils, with dual-toned eyes. Sometimes SleepWings will keep their eyes shut, even when not in hibernation.

They have thin plates and scales, due to the lack of an enemy tribe or a need to protect themselves anyway. This allows for extra movement in the water. If fighting ever finds its way to them, their tails double as flails, packing a huge punch to any target due to the extra fat stored in them.

They are very short compared to other dragons.

SleepWings can be born both albino and melanistic.
Albino SleepWings are always a pale pink, but never white.
Melanistic SleepWings are a very dark shade of blue or purple, but never black or gray.

SleepWings CANNOT breathe fire, be born with firescales, have venom or poison, have silk, or be born with the gift of telepathy.
SleepWings CAN be born with the gift of prophecy, breathe underwater, fly, and be born Animus.

SleepWings born with prophecy have yellow stars on their thighs. They're born only when two full moons shine through the water and onto their egg. The strength of the power varies on how long the moons shone on their egg.
(ex: shorter time, less powerful prophecy. longer time, more powerful prophecy.)

Most SleepWings sleep for hundreds of years at one time, contributing to VERY long lifespans of up to 30,000 years.
SleepWings stop growing at the age of 10.

SleepWings can hibernate for as long as they want, as long as it does not exceed the limit of 300 hibernations in their lifespan. Any more will certainly kill them.

Some SleepWings do not hibernate for very long, working the underwater kingdom.
SleepWings are brilliant doctors, and sometimes they will assist other tribes during times of need.

Most SleepWings are very friendly and kind.
They love little trinkets, including feathers, strings, twigs, shiny objects, and glass figures.

Their queen is Queen Sweetdream.
The royal family is very extensive, but the three primary rulers are Queen Sweetdream, King Dozeheart, and their daughter Princess Dreamcatcher.

SleepWing names can be medical or sleep-based terms, used singularly or as a combination of two. This naming convention works similarly to NightWing naming conventions.
