Description THUD. Your head smacked against the cold harsh concrete, as you winced at the loud and numbing panging noise in your ears. Your vision blurred as a dark and gloomy figure loomed over your vulnerable self. You reached out for your weapon that was on the ground, almost in your reach, only for it to be kicked away, with a chuckle from the figure.

"R-Reaper..." You stammered, trying to make out his mask through your clouded vision.

"Quiet, girl. Don't make this harder than it has to be." He threatened, taking his foot and placing it in the middle of your chest.

"Now... What to do with you-" Reaper was suddenly cut off by a smack from a large, gleaming hammer. He was sent flying across the ground, only to get back up again. Drawing his shotguns, he sprayed fire onto your saviour.

"R-Reinhardt?" You muttered, questioning who had come to your rescue. No, you didn't even have to question it. Who else had his build, his armour, his hammer. His... Voice. Oh how you loved his voice... Laced with his thick German accent- No. Just as you snapped back into reality, through your cloudy vision, you saw Reinhardt as he lifted his hammer high into the air, letting out a mighty roar.

And then it all went black.

----------------------------------
BEEP, BEEP, BEEP

Your mouth was dry. You felt aching all over. Slowly, you began to open your eyes, wincing at the bright lights that were shining down on you in Dr. Ziegler's surgery.

"A-Angela?" You croaked, due to your voice being dry, and being asleep for god knows how long.
You heard some shuffling from the corner, but it wasn't quite in your field of vision. It definitely didn't sound like Angela. It was more... Heavy, masculine and without a doubt, clumsy.

"Hello? A-Anyone?" You called, in a state of confusion.

"[Y/N], you're awake!" A familiar voice rang through your ears, immediately perking you up.

"Reinhardt, is that you?" You asked, grinning slightly.

Not to your surprise, your hunky German friend came round the corner, a warm smile adorning his ruggedly handsome face. He brang a chair up to your bed, sat down and took your hand in his. You felt oh so small compared to him. Your small, cold hands being cupped inside his large warm ones. Even through this action, you felt protected by him. Your cheeks began to flush at the contact, as you'd had a crush on the man for quite a while now.

"Dr. Ziegler is attending to another patient right now, mein mädchen, but she'll be with your shortly to check up on you..." He started, his thumb stroking the top of your hand.

"Is there anything I can get you?" He asked kindly.

"A drink would be nice." You requested, smiling softly.
"Of course. Anything for you." Reinhardt was always kind and caring to you. Ever since you were first taken in by the Overwatch team. Ever since he was assigned the duty to train you, and the responsibility to take care of you. You two had always had a special bond, which were envied by some. You couldn't help but to develop a crush him, even though the age gap may be... Quite significant. But that didn't matter. Ana had always told you that age didn't matter, and that it was only a number.

However, you had never pursued him. You were quite shy yourself, and you certaintly didn't want to ruin the relationship you currently had with him. He had never shown you any signs of wanting to be anything more than friends, so you just kind of left it at that.

"Here you go, [Y/N]." He said, handing you a cup of water, and tucking a loose strand of [H/C] hair behind your ear. He put his hand to your forehead for a few moments.

"Your fever seems to be going down." He smiles thankfully, sitting back down.

"Thank you... For saving me." You mumble shyly, your cheeks flushing a light shade of red once more. You begin to drink the water slowly, already feeling much better.

"Oh [Y/N], there is no need to thank me for that. I was simply carrying out my duties." He responded in a knightly fashion.

"Duties?" You asked curiously.

"Why of course. Ever since you were fresh meat I had sworn to protect you. You don't remember?" He asks.

"Ah, yes. I remember now." You reply, giggling slightly. You remembered how you had put up a fight, explaining frantically that you could take care of yourself, only to be met with a hearty laugh from your German companion.

"Kleine Maus, you have much to learn!" He would shout whilst laughing, putting one of his large hands on your shoulders.

"You two seem to be having fun." A delicate voice charms into the conversation, halting my laughter. It was Angela, beaming with that soft and caring smile of hers. She walked up to the side of my bed, placing a hand on one of Reinhardt's broad shoulders, squeezing it gently. She cleared her throat softly, before speaking again.

"May I have a word with [Y/N]... alone?" She asked politely, although it was more of a command than a question.

Reinhardt nodded immedietaly, before standing up and kissing you on the forehead, and uttering goodbyes to you both.

Your gaze met Angela's, and she gave you a knowing smirk. Why was she looking at you like this?

"What're you looking at?" You asked, puffing your cheeks out in confusion.

"He likes you, [Y/N]." She replied, grinning.

"What, Reinhardt? Pfft, no." You shrugged off her remark, your face turning a noticeable shade of red.

"And I know that you like him too!" She whispered, booping you on the nose and giggling. She sat down beside you on your bed, crossing one leg over another and placing her hands folded on top of them. You shook your head, face turning even redder.

"Look, you can't deny it. But you either want my advice or you don't." She offered.

"Fine. You got me. But not a single word to the others!" You sighed. "But... What advice may you have?" You asked inquisitively.

"Go to his dorm tonight. Thank him for saving you, give him a gift, spend some time with him. Show him that you care." She suggested, smiling brightly.

"Yeah, but... I already thanked him. He told me he was just doing his duties..." You said, frowning.

"And you're just going to leave it at that? He saved your life!" She said enthusiastically.

"I-I guess so..." You stammered, your mind flashing back to the moment what Reinhardt came to your rescue. Your knight in shining armour.

"But for now, you need to carry on getting some rest." Angela said, with a more serious tone now. She stood back up and refilled your cup of water, placing it on your bedside table.

"You should be good to go tomorrow. It's already quite late, so you'll soon be up on your feet." She said cheerfully, walking to the door and turning the lights off.

"Good luck." She said, giggling.

-------------------------------------
When you awoke, it was around 3AM. You couldn't remember the last time you had anything to eat, and you were craving something sweet. Stretching, you twisted yourself around and got out of bed. Gasping because of the coldness as your feet touched the floor, your found yourself some slippers to put on your feet. You left for the kitchen in a light grey tank top, and some loose pyjama shorts, that you thought nicely complemented your behind.

You made your way to the kitchen, tip-toeing through the hallways. You had always loved the kitchen here. It was so big, so clean, and to top it off, we had loads of food. You scavenged the cupboards, but nothing was taking to your fancy, despite the heaps of food that was on offer. Your only option was to make something. As you were thinking of what to make, Mercy's advice popped into your head. Making a gift for Reinhardt.

In the end, you decided on making a batch of double chocolate chip cookies. Your mum had a special recipe, which you hoped your crush would love. You sat yourself on the counter whilst you waited for them to cook, your feet dangling off of the edge. The counter surface was kind of cold, but you could deal with it.

All of a sudden, a voice came from the doorway.

"Can't sleep either, love?" There she was, one of your best friends Tracer.

"It's not that. Just got out of Angela's clinic, and I'm starved for some sugar." You giggled quietly, and she laughed with you.

"Guess I'll keep ya company then." She exclaimed chirpily, perching herself on the counter opposite you.

"Oh, no, you don't have to. These are almost done... I'll probably be taking them back to my room..." You said, looking the other way.

"Is something up?" Lena asked, frowning.

"No, I'm fine... Well... Just... Ah, I'm sure you'll find out eventually." You said, in a frustrated manner.

"Okay, love. Well, if you ever need to talk, I'm here." She said, smiling softly at you and ruffling your hair.

She started to walk out of the kitchen, and you almost let out a sigh of relief. For some reason, you felt really on edge. Maybe it was because of how easily Mercy figured out your secret, and you thought maybe she could too.

You began to smell the scent of your freshly baked cookies from the oven, so you hopped down and released the heavenly smell into the room. You put on some oven mitts and took out the tray, leaving them to cool for a bit and then putting them onto a plate. You closed all the lights in the kitchen, and started to make your way to your room.

---------------------------------
Passing Reinhardt's dorm, you heard some shuffling, and some mumbling. You pressed your ear against the door, and although you couldn't tell what he was saying, you definitely knew he was awake. Maybe this would be a good time to confront your crush... Albeit quite late, but at least there's no one around to see you entering his dorm. You sighed softly, and knocked on his door. A few, heavy footsteps were heard, and then the creak of the door opening.

"[Y/N]? What are you doing up at this time? And here?" He asked, confused.

"Can I come in?" You asked, pushing his questions to the side. You just wanted to get in before someone saw you, although you doubt that would happen.

"Ofcourse, ofcourse." He complied, opening the door for you.

You stepped inside quickly, before taking a seat on the edge of his bed. His room was decorated exactly how you think it would be. I large German flag, hung across the top of his bed, and weapons, trophies and armour scattered neatly around the area. His bed was rather large, but looking at the size of him, you guessed he needed it.

Reinhardt sat next to you, making the bed sink a little bit, and pull you closer to him. He turned to you slightly.

"So, what is it that you needed?" He asked, giving you a warm smile.

"Well, first of all, I'd like to apologise for coming here at this time, and for bothering you if I did. But, I came to fully thank you for what you did... You saved my life. And before you start, I know you were 'just doing your duties', but it meant a lot to me... You always have." You said, looking at your feet and blushing heavily.

"And these... I made these for you. As a gift. I don't know if you like cookies but-" You rambled on, but he cut you off.

"I love them, [Y/N]." He exclaimed, taking the plate from your hands and putting them on the table between you both. He took a cookie and bit into it, sighing with delight.

"These are delicious! I didn't know you were a good cook!" He said, almost as if he were shocked.

"My mother taught me." You said, your cheeks burning up. You liked being complimented, but with it being from your crush, it took it to a whole other level.

The two of you sat there together on the bed for a while, eating cookies and chatting. You wished you had done this sooner. Just being with him alone in his room felt like bliss. You didn't want to ruin this moment, but there was something you had to ask.

"Reinhardt..." You started, tracing patterns on your leg with the tip of your finger.

"Yes, Kleine Maus?" He said, urging you to continue.

"Well, before I came in, I heard you talking to yourself. May I ask what you were saying?" You asked shyly, not sure if you had the right to ask.

Reinhardt sighed, taking your small hands into his much larger ones, and squeezing them softly.

"I've had something that I've wanted to get off of my chest for a while now..." He began. You saw
his pale cheeks starting to become coloured, ever so slightly, with a light shade of red.

"What is it? I'm here for you." You reassured him, smiling softly.

"I-I like you, [Y/N], as in... more than a friend..." He stammered, looking away slightly, the shade of red turning darker. You didn't know how to react. Mercy was right.

"I hope this doesn't ruin anything between us, but-" He began, but you cut him off with a kiss.
His lips were surprisingly soft, and felt perfect against your own. They fit together like a jigsaw piece. Reinhardt's large hand caressed your jaw and stroked your [H/C] hair as the kiss intensified. You had waited for this moment for so long - the amount of times that this scene had played through your mind was unimagineable. He leaned back onto the bed, pulling you on top of him. You were now on all fours, making out with the man of your dreams.

You both came up for air, panting softly. He looked into your [E/C] eyes, which were screaming to him that you wanted him, that you longed for him.

"I like you too." You whisper softly, pecking him on the lips.

"As more than a friend."

Thank you for ending the Reindhardt fic shortage.

This is so cute! I love all the pet names he calls the reader and the German phrases scattered throughout the fic. Reinhardt is also appropriately loving in this. With sweet gestures that shows he cares, without giving away how much he loves the reader.

“Reinhardt sat next to you, making the bed sink a little bit.” That made me burst out squealing

If I had any criticisms, it would be this sentence: “You were now on all fours, making out with the man of your dreams.” I feel like both of them would be more reserved.
