For my new spec evo seed world project about a world of turtles, Kappa!!

Time: 7 million years post establishment

Oppershilds are huge herbivores, with an extremely energy efficient lifestyle. They spend almost their entire lives floating at the water's surface, munching on the numerous aquatic plants that populate their wetland homes.

Their lungs, sat at the top of their shells, act as floatation devices that allow them to browse while consuming precious little energy.

Using this strategy they have grown enormous, with adult males easily weighing between 1-2 tonnes. At this point in Kappa's history, they are the largest animals on the planet, and no predator can touch them. Their extreme size and strange anatomy means that, past a certain size, males never leave the water.

females are significantly smaller and their anatomy is less extreme, and are still able to leave the water to lay eggs on land.
