All the buses were supposed to come and pick us up to take us to Universal Studios, and all of them except for ours showed up.We were miserable.
Dang Florida heat.
Taken by some other person on the band trip.

I know how that feels...I too have been orphaned by a bus, numerous times. But I've also been orphaned by my uniform, Flute AND marching shoes before...
Oh, Marching Band...such a God-blessed/forsaken sport.

Last year at a before a band competition in my district, a student from an opposing school cancelled our buses. We ended up packing all 70/80-some band members into parent's cars.

But still. I wish I could tell a story about that. But all I have is the story where my director went completely crazy and began laughing hysterically while blowing bubbles.

That's hilarious! I have a TON of stories about mine.
Mr. Rea is a large man. Recently at the basketball games there has been "inappropriate dancing" coming from members of the pep band. He gave us an example of this "inappropriate dancing" last week by humping the air. The entire band is now scarred for life.
Yesterday he wore a new shirt. We could tell it was new because he didn't take the tags off and everytime he lifted his arms the entire band giggled.
There are so many other silly stories.

If it makes you feel any better, part of our band was orphaned by our buses in Paris. And none of us spoke French. :3

Well, it was Florida winter heat - nothing compared to Texas summer heat.
But it was still annoying as heck.

Haha, well, the band kids didn't have our instruments, because it had been the orchestra that was performing, so we had to let the orchestra kids and their parents ride our bus (because theirs had been chased off by les motards), and we had to walk like, twelve blocks to where our bus was waiting.
Once we were all split up onto different buses (with broken A/C and sweaty, smelly men) we took a "short-cut" to Sacre-Coeur through the red-light district. (We got to go past the opera house where Phantom of the Opera is supposed to be set, though, so that was cool. Apparently we passed the Moulin Rouge, too, but I missed that one.)
And at least Texas heat is usually dry-heat, right?
