Description
I was sitting at the base of the highest tree that resided within Ice’s camp; my kids were either off training or doing their chaos around camp. It was always a bit of a knife not being able to find Bolt, but also remembering why I am not finding them. It though makes me think about what Oddy had said to me; then what I had told Nightingale. That Bolt is in a place where they don’t need to worry about anything, that they are watching over the all of us. It, it hones on cherishing what you have, and just to be thankful for what you had. Bolt will always be my child, and one day we all will see them again.
“Have you considered the Elite Guard?” a voice spoke up, one I knew well. Shabeel.
I turned my head and looked in the direction her voice came from, Shabeel had approached from the left side of me. I rose a brow at the suggestion that seemed to have come from Shabeel’s maw.
“May I ask why?” I asked back, half expecting her response, but curious nonetheless, and adjusted myself a bit to have more attention aimed at her.
Shabeel glanced a bit before saying anything, looked like calculating word choice if that made any sense. “I’ve witnessed your fighting personally, you would make a good defender for the Empire.”
I mean you are not wrong there… though I wasn’t really defending in that sense. “Okay, then what would really change with myself other than being called one? This is my home, so I will defend my home. Curious why that would me an Elite so to speak?” I implored these questions to Shabeel, giving a brief pause to let her process it, but added to it. “Not to say that I am not interested, more exploring why the Silver would seek another out too personally suggest it?” I gave a tone that matched the curiosity I had.
“You would be among the first to be called into danger, to protect our empire-mates and home. Pluto and myself include Elite Guards in discussion for the Empire’s well being, should they choose to participate in them.” Shabeel explained, remaining to her stoic appearance.
I could tell she was wanting me to say yes to this, honestly just further proved the respect toward her I have, but also to know it is a returned respect as well.
“You are not the first I have made this suggestion too.” The silver added.
I sat up as Shabeel said this; and followed it up, “How would one qualify? If that is at my discretion to have that information?”
“Others have qualified with demonstration of their fierce will to fight, to defend their home, whether from wild creature, hunters, or humans.”
This was something I had figured, but better to ask than to go in blind.
“Would having kicked your ass count?” I humoured to Shabeel with a sly smirk.
I was meet with a deadpan gaze from the jaguar, “I suppose that it can.” She did not sound impressed with the jab, but took it nonetheless as she gave a flick or twitch of an ear.
“Well then I guess you have yourself an entry.” I concluded in my decision, but just because I could, I offered, suggested anyway, “How about a rematch without the want to murder the other this time?” I humoured.
Shabeel gave a smirk, subtle, but there was one, “Perhaps we should have a rematch; if only to prove you still have what it takes.”
She knew I was never one to turn down a spar, so I got to my paws, “I consider that a good wager.”

So this is Yickah's entry for the Elite Gaurd. It's 620 words. Viri and I did a script for this and I filled in extra details in places.
Art and Yickah are mine, Shabeel is Viri's. Writing is a mix of both of us.
Not sure how to count this EP wise cause the system changed and I have not had a chance to study it yet.
