Happy new year! First sketchy drawing of the new year.

Sam is a very fluffy an chubby Pichu, then evolves and looks less chubby but is still all fluff.
He is meant to be the canon partner in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team Blue/Red.

Ehh still like working on this story haha.
Probably gonna draw the other partners and important characters as I work on 'em.
First gotta overhaul this dudes backstory and connections hehe

Just love to make the character feel like they are a lot more a part of the world.
Buuuut also a cheap excuse to change the backstory to be more tragic and make his reluctance to start being a rescuer a lot more tragic.
Poor dude, can't even say if he has it the worst yet out of the canon partners, but until I write/redo the other he does.

Anyway, because I ran out of space:
Pichus friends:
-Keks, Scraggy
-Bloom, Aipom

Pikachu, Rescue Team partners:
-Blaze, Charmeleon (Leader)
-Aurora, Absol

And oh boi does he have a hard time in the main story too, poor fellow can't catch a break.

He is part of my Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Paradox Replacement Saga, which is basically follows the games, but with butterfly affect and alternate universe difference.
Or in short, how much can I change canon, and how that absuredly can affect that world and the canon games that come after.

Now to actually write it instead of my way too many notes.
