When I first met Kass, it was in Faron at that shrine that had to get struck by lightning. Unimaginatively, I put on every piece of metal equipment I could and just stood there. Thankfully, I had plenty of hearts, and Mipha's Grace besides. I never expected that accordion-playing macaw man to play such a big role as he did, particularly when his songs helped me figure out other puzzles.
Not only did he turn out to be a father of five daughters who loved to sing as much as he loved to play music, but his teacher worked for the royal family AND, interestingly enough, had an unrequited crush on Zelda. Not to mention that the song he was always playing was written for Zelda and Link and passed down to him by his teacher.
His story alone makes Kass one of my favorite NPCs in a long time. Plus, I always thought the Rito were cool, ever since Wind Waker. I hope he gets the recognition I believe he deserves.

his little side plot and I definitely enjoyed it a lot
The first time I met Kass was when i was running around in the grasslands
towards zoras domain and heard an accordion out of nowhere-- The rest of the
scenery built up as I approached him and it was as if the moment came
straight from a Ghibli film! He has such a presence with his design and character and
his plot is just so perfect!
