Description Bioshock Infinite is easily one of the best FPS games i've played in a while. It was so refreshing and wonderful, it was hard not to draw anything for it.
I plan on doing more Bioshock pieces in the future too!

FeatherNotes In reply to Mistercool38 [2013-04-24 01:07:11 +0000 UTC]

I enjoyed it far too much. I had difficulty with the auto save as I played offline and that seemed to bug things up, but overall, it def got the ratings it deserved and the wait for release was well worth it.
That's interesting that you found the ending disappointing, what was it that made you think that way if you dont mind me asking?

Mistercool38 In reply to FeatherNotes [2013-04-24 06:40:50 +0000 UTC]

All my efforts to protect Elizabeth, I thought Racists, I battled Handymen and the reward I got?! Not seeing Elizabeth in Safety or me being free, No Instead she and her different versions from other universes drowned me.

Spoilers i guess!
well, considering (i'm assuming you've played the first and second) Bioshock is a game dedicated to morality, it was definitely an ending suiting to the game. It was bittersweet, and to end a nightmare, you had to cut it from its roots. Booker couldn't have lived with his alternate self destroying the world, the only way to end combstock was to end booker before he chose that path. at least i thought so. The endings to all the other games were no walk in the park (and that was even with getting all the good options) and i think i would have been disappointed if it wasn't bittersweet haha.
BUT at least if you're wanting more hope to the end of the game, you stayed for the credits, right? when Booker goes to raise anna?

Mistercool38 In reply to FeatherNotes [2013-04-24 14:45:48 +0000 UTC]

Didn't know about the Anna part, I'll check it out! I realise it was the only ay to stop Comstock, but I wasn't here to stop the bad guys, I was here to rescue Elizabeth, the ending is very confusing for me, why Didn't Booker just choose not to become Comstock?

Zortov In reply to Mistercool38 [2013-04-25 13:50:25 +0000 UTC]

The idea is that no matter what Booker chooses, there will be an alternate timeline where he chooses differently.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mistercool38 In reply to Zortov [2013-04-25 14:51:22 +0000 UTC]

But even if they kill him, won't there still be another universe where they don't?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zortov In reply to Mistercool38 [2013-04-25 22:25:41 +0000 UTC]

Not for them since they have control over the universes. It is Elizabeth's power to control these things. Booker can't make the change himself since he is just part of it.

FeatherNotes In reply to Mistercool38 [2013-04-25 02:17:33 +0000 UTC]

(i was quiet confused myself with the ending as well, i had to think about it a lot to let it sink in hahah)It was a different reality that comstock was in, one that exists if Booker did get baptised. Remember at the part in the hall of heroes, where slate was taunting booker about wounded knee? well, the incident scarred booker very much and in that instant he wished to start a life over and get baptised to initiate that new life. now, In the reality of Columbia existing, Booker DID baptise and changed his name to comstock and built Columbia, then got involved with the lutece's who had ties with the tears and thus decided (because of constocks tampering with tears, he became inept to create children) so he kidnaps his daughter from an alternate reality WHICH in this case is the one in which booker does NOT accept baptism. booker, in the reality you play him as, is someone who instead of moving on gets involved with bad business and ends up owing money, to which he believes he can sell his daughter to get the debt away. (bring the girl, wipe away the debt business)
SO, in order to stop the madness of comstock, they had to kill booker, and stop him from becoming comstock in the first place... like them going back to square one. You play as someone who is not supposed to exist in that reality (hence the bloody nose) so there was no way to stop comstock unless he went to the root of the problem and instead continued with the crap life he was supposed to have (and take care of anna instead of giving her away)
The whole plot was orchestrated by the lutece's, who helped discover tears, and who were sabotaged and to be killed by comstock, but instead lived in multiple realities and aided booker in taking down the man who screwed them in the first place. SO in summation, it's all the luteces faults haha.
I hope my babbling helps !

i wonder what the DLC will bring us!

I love this game, it was brilliant especially the Lutece's.

Ikr!? They were absolutely fabulous, especially since one doesn't really have a choice as to whether or not they can like them seeing as they slowly suck you in until you've realised that they had just taken over Elizabeth as your favourite character

FeatherNotes In reply to Holding-onto-a-Dream [2013-04-24 11:45:07 +0000 UTC]

hahh omgosh yes! They were the perfect touch to such a great game. Plus, i was surprised at how much I loved Elizabeth! She was also very charming : )

Holding-onto-a-Dream In reply to FeatherNotes [2013-04-24 12:57:16 +0000 UTC]

She was, I mean when I was playing Infinite for the first time I was hoping you could make a whole bunch of choices like evil was staying on the path of the debt and good was fulfilling Elizabeth's wishes and I wanted to take her to Paris soooo badly...hopefully a DLC with the twins in it and taking Liz to Paris is in the works

FeatherNotes In reply to Holding-onto-a-Dream [2013-04-25 02:18:37 +0000 UTC]

Ah same! I hope the DLC provides more story ground behind them, or even perhaps a new character that the Luteces were maybe involved with??? : O so many possibilities !
