Doodles of EarthBound series characters, including Ness as a fatty, Lucas as a goth, and Ninten wheelchair-bound with a chronic breathing disorder.Heh, what a group.
So, this is an AU idea I've had rolling around in my head for a while. I feel like they'd have a great dynamic.
No, Ness, I don't think you're ready for Smash... I'm worried about how the other Smash Bros will react seeing how you've... uh... expanded horizontally.
And, oh my! Ness, if someone is blue in the face like that, you should take them to the hospital. It looks like poor Ninty is gonna suffocate!
Lucas, please don't get too close to Ninten with that cigarette. It'll disturb his asthma... er, bronchiectasis... Whatever he has.
You two look so miserable. You need some ice cream!
*wheeze* cold things... *wheeze* upset my... *wheeze* asthma...
I'm surprised you haven't committed suicide yet, Ninten...

This is how I see their relationship: ninten (as challenged as he is physically) is more or less the leader. Usually level headed, he is considered the most intelligent. Occasionally gets annoyed with ness and his jokes, but otherwise is very appreciative of ness's efforts to lighten the mood.
Lucas is the one people really dont want to mess with. Emotionally hardened, he developed a bit of a take-no-shit personality. He thinks ninten is too lax with how he puts up with ness's antics and that ness is too immature, but secretly he actually deeply values their friendship!
Ness is the muscle, but more importantly, the clown. While he does suffer from his own mental scars, he makes an honest-to-God effort to put on a happy face! (He also think lucas is slightly underweight) while he does act like a clown he actually really would do anything to help ninten and lucas.

My theory: Claus died of cancer which drove Lucas to his now corrupted state.

Along with the death of his mother, Lucas experienced clinical depression for the following months up until now in which he still secretly grieves of his loved ones.

Here's yet another depressing theory about Ninten: At the bottle rocket factory, Ninten's Asthma gets so bad to the point where Loid has to escort Ninten out after obtaining the rocket, but it begins to get worse towards the end as they witness E.V.E's Death, both of the events add up to cause him not only to end up in a wheelchair but to give him the disease he currently is dying of.

Oh my gosh, that's a good question!
I have drawn Claus as a goth, but only once and it wasn't very good.
Maybe I'll draw him as a punk instead.

Holy shit, this is fantastic. I could see this being a really tongue-in-cheek show starring these three. It'd have crude jokes, random violence, and questionable content, ala "South Park".
Always great to see chubby Ness again. Now smush everyone together into you gut for a big hug, possibly suffocating Ninten.

Of course it is! Fat, sick, and emo! That sounds like the name of an offensive sitcom that would be cancelled after five episodes due to indecency, but everyone would remember fondly! In fact, there was one anime that made their final episode(s) too violent and sexual for TV to PURPOSELY get themselves cancelled! Isn't that hilarious?! More shows need to have creative final episodes! Many final episodes are half assed due to the fact the show is going to end anyway. C'mon! Be more like the people who made Space Dandy and anime and put some effort into it! Space Dandy's final episode tied together all of the main characters, had epic plot twists, and had a nostalgia ending of referencing the first episode of the series. Hell, they even included areas and objects from Dandy's previous adventures in the credits! Overall, the only faults I can find is that they didn't have enough Dandy and that Bea just disappears somewhere. Other than that, the ending was flawless! A 9 for sure! (I never give out 10s so it's up there.)Β

Wow, yeah, I wish more TV shows had the balls to do that. Man, I've been considering watching Space Dandy, I really should. And, that sounds like exactly the kinda finale that I love.

You are in for a wild ride when watching Space Dandy! It is fun to watch, but don't come into it with a preset idea of what it is like to watch. It is it's own thing that just kind of does its stuff. It is one of my favorite animes! I love it even more than Hetalia! You can just be a bit more involved with Hetalia with it's hardcore fanbase, and merchandise. Plus everyone knows Hetalia not Space Dandy. I would even go as far as saying Space Dandy is my favorite anime. It is so good I really don't need to talk about it to know it's awesome. Like you know, when something is so good you like to keep the moments to yourself and a couple of good friends? That's Space Dandy to me along with other works like Blood Lad. Trust me, the best animes and mangas are the ones that are underrated. They don't follow a stereotypical rule and make themselves their own entity. It is such a unique show that presents itself in a playful yet serious way. You'll see what I mean once you watch enough episodes. Some episodes are better than others, but the best are the ones that make absolutely no sense or just twist into something extreme! You'll most likely love the show!
