So, almost a year and a half after my last submission I finally got back to draw a proper piece. Overall I learned a lot about shadows and highlights with this picture and at the moment I'm satisfied enough with it. I hope somebody finds it interesting to look at.The character's name is Ryel. No further backstory has been created yet, but perhaps one day she'll get some more attention. The picture started as a design exercise for myself and she's what I came up with. The rest I added just to make myself try new things.

I doubt it's that well polished since I'm still an amateur, but I'm glad to hear you say that, of course. I feel quite good about the picture despite it being kind of janky in places and I do intend to keep working on my backgrounds and everything else as well. It's fun to experiment with the shading for one.

Shadows are hard to learn but you did a very nice job with them as well as the vivid colors~, the character design is very interesting also.
