The more the merrier, but guess they thought he already appeared in 2 fighting games already.

Well most characters had more than just 2 appearences, Morrigan Aeinsland appeared in pretty much all Marvel vs Capcom Games, starting with Marvel vs Capcom on the Arcade, all the way to Infinite, Okami only appeared in MVC3 and UMVC3

yeah, but putting the fighting-game chars in the fighting games so Ryu and Morrigan will come back. Then they throw in a few fun characters or extras as "product-placement".

But it's easy to get tired of Ryu and Morrigan. Wish they picked other characters to place in the spotlight too.
