looks nice, but why dont you upgrade to vista or 7 [vista and 7 are not so different :S]?
afraid to move on, or cant your system handle it?
I am running Vista x86 and x64 on 2 seperate systems, and both work perfectly

fediaFedia In reply to coreper [2009-10-26 21:24:58 +0000 UTC]
I'm using 7 64bit on my notebook which has:
AMD Turion 64 X2 2.2GHz
4GB of DDR2 800MHz RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 1GB graphics
320GB Disk
And 32-bit on my older system which has:
AMD Athlon 2400+
1.5GB of DDR1 400MHz RAM
nVidia GeForce 6200 256MB
250GB Disk
But it doesn't run very fast on the older system
Also 7 is a WHOLE lot better than Vista, like seriously, difference is so big, like if vista were win2000 (being a major fail btw) and 7 were XP

oh ok
good to know youre a XP lover, which CAN move on to a next OS [Yes You Can!]
but whats so different about 7 compared to vista then? cause i dont see much differences, but hey, i havent tried 7 [since i purchased vista, and dont feel like wasting money on a new os again]

When did you buy vista? Maybe you're eligible for a free upgrade

coreper In reply to fediaFedia [2009-10-28 18:03:20 +0000 UTC]
I got my Vista on the 8th of December, 2008...
I guess I aint eligible for the free upgrade, am I? :S

fediaFedia In reply to coreper [2009-10-28 18:17:22 +0000 UTC]
Nope, just like me. I got my new system in June, if i waited a week id get it free. But i don't care really

coreper In reply to fediaFedia [2009-10-28 19:03:30 +0000 UTC]
yeah, i like vista very much, so i dont really see the point of moving on to 7
vista runs like a charm on my current computer [even better as XP ]
i guess ill wait some more before i move on [atleast untill there is a fix to change that way to large taskbar to the vista-default style, cause that 7 style looks like shit, imo]

You should try vista at least (120 days ftw), i think you wont go back to vista for anything then

XP, bcoz no one will make we guess the OS, if the OS isnt another one[?], and i cant see how to make it with Vista .-.

fediaFedia In reply to Lord-Tea [2009-10-26 16:48:08 +0000 UTC]
It could have easily been vista

Oh no! That was not my intent! I only wanted to clear it up for you. Just feel smarter for knowing more, not dumber for once having known less.

Wow, very simillar to the Windows 7, but i percept the ViGlance for the square button on Firefox... W7 have the button more rounded...
I like the glow effect in window, is perfect

XP. Not enough blur on the taskbar, plus the window title font doesn't look "authentic" 7

cyphr-6 In reply to ??? [2009-10-26 16:00:24 +0000 UTC]
yeah, the font in the title bar gave it away for me too, haha

tonev In reply to ??? [2009-10-26 15:51:49 +0000 UTC]
Well it is XP because you won't miss the chance to make Firefox transparent like IE

Quattrophobia In reply to ??? [2009-10-26 15:44:14 +0000 UTC]
Definitely XP the font gave it away for me

fediaFedia In reply to Quattrophobia [2009-10-26 15:53:06 +0000 UTC]
Lol is i that obvious? I didnt even notice its not segoe

Quattrophobia In reply to fediaFedia [2009-10-26 16:39:37 +0000 UTC]
haha it was pretty obvious for me at least

IanITAInc [2009-10-26 15:41:41 +0000 UTC]
You have to update your font to Segoe UI. The Tahoma one doesn't look as nice... For me that immediately gave it away and then the ViGlance skin you are using is not the best. Still, it looks pretty good!
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
fediaFedia In reply to IanITAInc [2009-10-26 15:53:23 +0000 UTC]
Um, you should put the fonts in the skin then...
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
IanITAInc In reply to fediaFedia [2009-10-26 16:04:26 +0000 UTC]
How does that work? Is the font actually applied by WB or does the font get installed in the 'Fonts' folder. If it simply gets applied through WB, I will definitely package it with the skin.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
fediaFedia In reply to IanITAInc [2009-10-26 16:12:26 +0000 UTC]
Dunno, but my skin had fonts integrated in it somehow before
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
IanITAInc In reply to fediaFedia [2009-10-26 16:24:57 +0000 UTC]
I will have to test this. I will remove the Segoe UI font from my system and then package it with WB to see how it applies the font...

bogas04 In reply to ??? [2009-10-26 15:39:07 +0000 UTC]
I can judge it
Fonts are not properly organized , and the theme of viglance is not neat . Yea , this is enough to tell that this is NOT 7
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
fediaFedia In reply to bogas04 [2009-10-26 15:53:53 +0000 UTC]
Yeah Viglance skin is terrible, it was done by windowsX, and i didnt bother looking for a custom one
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
fediaFedia In reply to bogas04 [2009-10-26 17:08:38 +0000 UTC]
I don't use viglance, don't like it, just used it for the screenshot on a OS that im not gonna use

bogas04 In reply to fediaFedia [2009-10-26 17:21:35 +0000 UTC]
