Description Another update by request: added black/grey/white versions

Also added variants for small taskbar
Small update: Added wide version which looks pretty neat

5 colors for each variant are still inside.

And now for something completely different: Metro stuff

Made a bunch of Metro styled start buttons, to accompany Omnimo 4. I'm surprised to see nobody made these before. Pretty simple and useable (for me anyway). Made them mostly for myself, just thought I'd share

Great! Now all it needs is a VS to match!

Either use a start orb changer or don't use it. I can't include 4 explorer.exe (32/64bit,SP0/SP1) for 12 variants

The Start Orb Changer worked fine for me. It doesn't do any harmfull things right?

Not sure, I always use Resource Hacker, it's the only way to be sure

The drawback to that is UAC prompts for explorer.

fediaFedia In reply to LMLB [2011-07-14 17:15:27 +0000 UTC]

I save it on the desktop, then take ownership of the original one, rename it to explorerbackup.exe and copy the new one

LMLB In reply to fediaFedia [2011-07-14 17:23:05 +0000 UTC]

What I mean is that explorer loses it's UAC whitelisting in Windows 7, that's why I use Windows 7 Start Orb Loader (by X-Type) as it modifies explorer.exe in memory.

Don't have a problem here

After starting the pc this morning, the orb was succesfully changed.

Oh, I see. After Explorer.exe gets restarted, it forgets the new start orb.

Start orb changer I use works perfectly fine.
