Updated: new pic (fullview for best detail viewing)Keep in mind, it can be used with the windows taskbar unlike what Microsoft did. I removed the taskbar from the preview because I'm too lazy to make it match the theme
Yesterday Microsoft unveiled their Windows 8 Tablet UI: [link]
And incidentally, their concept was quite similar to Omnimo [link] (which was based on WP7 anyway
)So without further ado, I decided to make some small modifications to Omnimo 4 and make it look almost exactly as the Windows 8 interface, which is scheduled to be released within a week or two.
So tell us what you think!
PS I'm really looking forward to using that UI when Windows 8 rolls, meanwhile you can use Omnimo for at least a initial effect

yes i am using the omnimo now as write in response to this update,and let me tell you it is way to cool so my hats off to to the makers of this hack as i did go to school many years back to learn how to be a electronics repairest and had to learn how to use ohms law in order to build boards,and your update to win8 interface looks just as the post online i have seen today,you deserve your due!!!!!

The Win8 demo was quite unexpected, since we were almost done with Omnimo 4 traditional features, now we need to modify a bit to provide the Windows 8 experience. It will be well worth the wait!

You can actually build a desktop like this with Omnimo 3 already
Just ad colorskin=RGB (for example, colorskin=78,178,185) under the [Variables] section of the skin config. Here are the colors used: [link]

This is absolutely AMAZING! The first thing I saw the presentation, I thought immediately you! I had a feeling that
MS must of got some idea from Omnimo theme as well WP7 to combined this special experience!
I can see people using XP can get Windows 8 theme on there computers without "upgrading" since their
computers may not be able to handle the power of Windows 8 in the near future.

Just after watching the video Microsoft put up for the WIndows 8 UI, and it was the first time I have ever being interested in getting a tablet. This looks really amazing, so definately looking forward to its release.
