The night had been quiet but long and Lexi hadn't slept much. Little Rosie had been born this morning and it had cost her very much energy, but after she got to eat some breakfast and got a big muck of coffee she was ready to go again. Lexi usually didn't needed much sleep, she was used to getting only a little of it and she didn't minded. She would probably tuck in early this evening to get back some of it, but if not she was fine with it too.
Her morning had gone by quite busy. The vet had come an small hour after little Rosie was born to give her and Birdy a check up after the great happening this early morning. Rosie was born a little early, but the vet had said she was all happy and healthy and that Birdy had made a great decision following her intuition. Rosie was a big foal, which probably had given some complications if she had waited any longer. Rosie was eager to meet all the new things around her, but still was a little shy and happy in the protection of her mother, but that would all change soon when her curiosity would grow. But for now, the two could get used to each other and Rosie could get used to the new world around her the cozy atmosphere of the foaling barn.

After that happy news everything settled down again. Everything had gone doing their choirs and so did Lexi after her quick breakfast. She had now found herself again in the secondary barn with her lovely pony projects, it was time to give Bro his love and get him some exercise.
''Hey little bugger!'' Lexi happily said while she clicked the lock of his stall and slide the stall door open. Bro lifted his head up snorting, his ears pinned forward, probably very happy to see Lexi had arrived at his stall again. He loved the work outs with her, the grooming sessions she was so good at and he so much enjoyed. He just loved the overall attention. ''I always get so happy from your good mood.'' Lexi grinned and hugged his head, giving him a quick kiss on his forehead. ''Here, you're a bit dirty, what about a few good brushes?'' She slide the halter over his head and clicked it secure, the lead rope already clicked onto it. ''Come,'' she said after a quick stroke over his head again. She lead him out of his stall and took him outside, where the sun shined brightly upon the stone porch in between the curve of the secondary stable barn. She tied him up and give him another quick kiss before she left him in the sunshine to get some grooming supply and his brand new driving tack.

A good hour later Bro was shining clean and was good and relaxing, still in the sunshine, his head hanging low and his ears hanging sideways. He sometimes made a weird snorting sound from delight, because oh how good Lexi was with that brushes on his coat.
Lexi smiled at hearing those delightful noises coming out of Bro's mouth. ''Yeah, I knew you were going to like this.'' She scratched him on his tummy, something that could get him to do anything. He lifted his nose high, his eyes closed, while he lifted up his lip. Lexi giggled, she knew he was going to pull that face when she scratched him on certain places.
She clapped softly on his neck as a compliment of him standing so nice and still, without being annoying - something he was sometimes very, very good at. ''Well, time to get this checked out.'' Lexi lifted up a part of the new driving tack she had ordered for him. It had lots of golden buttons on it and some lovely beige fur here and there - it would probably look gorgeous on him, but that was yet to be seen.
And even while she tacked him up he behaved like an angel. He sometimes lifted his head to whinny at the mares he saw in the meadows in the distance, which reminded Lexi again at the decision she had to made about maybe gelding him. She wanted to have some foals of him in the future, but that could always be done through frozen semen and insemination. It would make everything a lot easier - he could just go into the meadow with Poppy and Trixie, he didn't have to be lonely anymore. Something what would be probably better for him. She quickly made a note in her mobile phone, so she wouldn't forget anymore to get that appointment done.
Bro didn't minded at all she was putting all sorts of things on him. He sometimes turned his head to look back at her and to look what she was doing with his body, what she was putting onto him. But on the other hand she could see his behavior change - he felt proud to wear these things, he felt like a real working pony, something he really enjoyed. He wasn't a pony you could put in the meadow and make him a happy pony that way. He had to have something to do, because being bored just wasn't an option for him.

''There.'' Lexi took a step back and looked at Bro, who with a skew eye looked back at her. He indeed looked beautifully rustic in his driving tack and she couldn't wait to put the car behind him and go take a ride through the forests. She smiled and jumped back to him, giving him a hug around his neck and than untying him to lead him to the car she had pulled out of the garage and was already ready for them. ''We're going to make a fun ride together.'' She loved chattering to her horses, even though they wouldn't respond back. It was some sort of exhaust valve and it worked really well for her and the horses seemed to like it too.
