What type of monkeys are they?

they are only inspired by real life monkeys, not proper ones:
Papua: baboon
Ila: gorilla (in fact I drew him a long tail, despite the inspiration were gorillas)
Maka: random macaque-like
Tan: orangutan (but with tail)
Mango: chimp

i love monkey/ape characters, partly cause they're my fave animals and also 'cause of the cool "handy" feetΒ

I especially like how the 'feet' on Papua and mango are drawn! Tan's design's definitely my favourite, wooooow

they're not actually "black people" (nor white), they're humanoid monkeys.. their skin is so dark based on their "native" monkey type (gorilla and baboon). I don't want to add racial features for these chars, only species features.
why not making that for them? jest because those 2 aren't really the type of sweet and cuddly guys. it's not like I designed them.
