The entire coil gun project was scrapped in 1990 after 2 years of zero progress being made by the engineering team, the soviet administration wasn’t happy with how slow progress was being made on this functional electromagnetic weapon. The project was picked back up during early 2000’s and in late 2004 first working prototype was created by the company known as Katowickie Rozwiązania Obronne, a Polish military industrial concern. Thanks to the hard work of the lead designer Robert Bolkowiec the weapon soon exited prototype stage in 2005. Although expensive, this coil gun is a good weapon. It may fire slowly but when it hits it's gonna deal a lot of damage to the target. This sniper coil gun soon became a common sight in NATO special forces.
