Let me just start by saying unlike alot of people i actually liked the 1998 Godzilla movie. The story was a bit hokey but i understood what they were trying to do, make alot of money ... wait no more than that. Make a realistic monster movie.While the monster in the movie was good in its own right, it just wasn't Godzilla. So i thought i'd take a stab at how i would fix that.
When i think of Godzilla i think of a giant green mutant dinosaur monster ... whereas the Godzilla in the movie was a mutant Iguana or something. Also Godzilla has very iconic dorsal plates that light up when he breaths fire ... whether or not the 98 Zilla breathed fire seems to be up for debate. He didn't seem to to me at least not the way he was supposed to traditionally. So yes at any rate mine does breathe fire. Let me tell you what he wouldn't do though ... tunnel around around the ground like a goon. That dosent even make sense ... especially with those huge plates on his back.
So in the end the question is does my version look better than Tristar's? Probably not but hey i gave it a shot.

My beef with the movie was that he was more easily killed than Godzilla traditionally is, not the look, unlike some of those ridiculous fanboys from TK who seem to have a HUGE beef with the look but not enough with how easily eliminated it was. Β Still, good job, it's a great design you got there!

1998 Godzilla: spiky-backed giant lizard that smashes up buildings and belches out atomic breath. How is that NOT Godzilla?
I'll tell you. The spinoff cartoon, from what I understand, not having new versions of Mothra, Ghidorah and the rest of the gang. Now THAT'S dropping the ball. A version of Godzilla with no Ghidorah to fight is like Batman having no Joker to fight.

This is neat... But I still like Tristars. lol. But have you ever read the script for the never filmed 2nd Tristar Godzilla?
If you havn't then find it and read it. He has atomic breath and everything. He is further mutated then his papa. It would have been kick ass. But to bad there wasn't as many open minded people like you and I... there are a few... but not enough to boost the sells.

sorry, I don't recall the site... I am sure you could find it easier now. Also keep your eye opened for the original G98 movie script. Sounds damn awesome.
