Description In parralel of Artrage, i do some tests with Alchemy, i really like the feeling of this software, and the possibility to break the habits and automatism we all could have. This is the first concept of a serie of creatures i have in mind. The next one very soon.

Ah...

This is a gorgeous creation. I don't think I've seen a similar style before. The high contrast between the white highlights and the black really make the whole piece jump out.

Cheers;

That is just... VERY cool! Reminds me of Wayne Barlowe's stuff, but more latex-ish

see ya

Nice man really digging these fast pieces you're doing - shows just how well you have your lighting/texture theory down pat.. if thats the way to explain it .

Fantastic. I see some Barlowe in here, too (which is an awesome thing in my book) but the weird latex feel makes it all your own. Looking forward to the next one!

Hi Anthony, and thank you for the words, i'm a big fan of your work, stunning... Yes that is true i looked to Barlowe's works for the design, Pascal B and me worked on some creatures at the job and our main inspiration was Barlowe. But yes i had to find something different and special like this shader, to make it personal, hope i did it well. Cya

Hey, I'm a huge fan of *yours*, sir! Your Naruto environment shots are a benchmark for what equals excellent concept work, far as I'm concerned. You're a monster painting machine!!

You definitely took this beastie in your own direction. I think one of the reasons I thought "Barlowe" right off the bat was because you've done such a great job making it feel genuinely strange. Barlowe's one of the few artists (in my opinion) who can regularly make critters that truly seem "alien". Since he's such a good touchstone for the outre, when anyone hits that same spot, it feels natural to invoke his name. He's gone from being an individual to being an adjective!

It's a hard mark to hit, man, but you did it and then some.

You totally right about Barlowe, he creates the faintness so well, breaking all the codes.
Thank you Anthony for the compliments concerning the Naruto stuff, you really glad me
