Description
LowRes, cropped version of 's commission.Artwork for his TCG project, Factions, which is currently in development. More info about the actual cards can be found on its group, #Factions-tcg .
Level up!! This should be the second level of a swordman character. Previous level is already done. We have in here.. more armor, some new clothes, and a bit tougher character ^^
So... I always had problems for painting grass, and green fields.. I kinda hated that kind of BG. ..but, for some reason, now I think I like it. Knowing a couple of tricks, effects and flters, it can be turned into a pretty fun job. ^^
Well, I hope you all like the result!

The grass background looks great! I like the way it's positioned slightly differently in the background and foreground- it makes the pose look so much more dynamic and like the swordsman is actually moving towards us! (Argh, please don't stab me!)
I have to say I like the highlights on the armor and hair too. You have an excellent eye for details.

^^ Oh, I'm glad you liked the movement effect on the grass. Painting strand by strand I had the chance to give each part of the grass its own angle and motion.

^^ thanks again!β₯ Actually, to paint it like that was easier for me than looking for special brushes and those things.. I prefer to simply adjust the standard brush of PS, and do it by hand.
