It was a very intense anime! Nothing like Adventure.

it was meant to have darker undertones to appeal to the older fans returning. I still prefer Adventure and Adventure 02, but Tamers was just as awesome. really the only season I don't particularly like or dislike is Xros Wars. I just couldn't get into it

I stoped enjoying on frontier =/
01 and 02 are classics, and tamers has the best plot, the rest i just dont like D:

season 5 is way better if you watch it subbed I can't get past the defeat of Belphemon in the dub. Frontier would have been better if they'd had partners. it also would have been cool if when they met Tommy's bullies the remaining spirits had chosen them and we would have had 10 kids fighting for the rest of the season

Like I said I really preferred Digimon Savers(sub) over Data Squad(dub). but I agree even if it is just a 6 episode OVA series Tri'll be amazing, but I fear when it's over as it will leave me emotionally drained
