i think the artist is trying to show that evryone has light and dark inside them, it takes a minute to be bad but it'll take years to be good. that's what i think when i look at the painting lol.

I am writing about angels at the moment and was looking for art to inspire me. This is absolutely beautiful, and it makes me remember the legend that if a demon will make just one move toward the light, he can be brought into that light. So I'd like to think whoever's reaching up out of that river of darkness is touching someone who cares, and the story goes on to...well, use your imagination. Thank you so much for sharing so poignant and archetypal a piece. I've seldom seen such beautiful work as you're doing.

This is really beautiful. It's like you've taken the subject of one of the great masterpieces and transformed it into the modern artform. The muted colours versus the brightness of the red really give a sense of depth, okay I am done being ponsy now. It's really great

I find this one interesting for the shadows creeping around the pool. You can tell the angel is from the light, but as the angel moves closer to the pool below it grows deeper into the darkness, the pool almost seems welcoming at that point, though the hand coming from within it doesn't. I love it.
