It's like she's the last one of many. Like that lake is a feral but sole remaining friend, and though dark and different to her own saintly stature, may have a story to tell in their mutual solitude.
If I could write as well as this was captured, I think I would have a fairly great job. I really like this.

Although arguably and therein, fairly, the image poised at such a distance coupled with the flowing disheveled hair does propose a gender mix-up.

The detail on this is beautiful, the angel reminds me of the ones in renaissance paintings. I'm curious as to whats in that pool, and why the angel hanging out there. Very cool.

I see the story here in that the creature in the water is something that was once evil but is now redeemed - and the angel is lifting it out, to cast off it's dark shrouds and finally enter heaven.
My concept of heaven and hell, with hell being only a temporary thing that is eventually transcended once the incarcerated can feel regret for the cruel things they did in life. This picture just suits it beautifully.
