You know, it's also sad because I am sure the last thing Sly would want to do is relive his childhood.
....His depressing traumatizing childhood...
That reminds me of an episode of Justice League where this evil child wizard used magic to banish all the adults to another dimension so he could rule an all kid utopia.
So through a loophole the Justice League could only go back to earth to stop him if they were kids so the wizard's mother Morgan Le Fay turned them into kids so they could fight her son whose name I can't remember...
Anyway... getting to what I was saying, at the end when they defeated him and turned back into adults Wonder Woman asked Batman if he liked being a kid again to which he replied 'I wasn't a kid since I was seven'
In other words, when Bruce's parents died he literally was forced to grow up/mature that day and I think the exactly same thing for Sly.
Kind of deep when you think about it.

No, his adult mind isn't in control, just locked away until- erm.. that would be a spoiler but I don't know whether I'm gonna continue this comic :S Okay so the spell does ware off and when it does, Sly has no recollection of any of the events after picking up the chalice~

Okay. This story sounds really dramatic but you don't have to continue it. I hate the pressure of having to continue stories if I'm not in the mood or just done with it entirely.
Though if the problem is that you don't want to draw anymore of it you can always just fan-fic it
either way, do what you want, I'm not going to pressure you
