The wonderful thing about this piece is the age embedded into it.
Just as the tree is grand, old and wise in its view of time gone by,
so will the generations of children become as they and their own childrenΒ
continue to walk past it.
The sweet, gentle magnificence here is humbling.
Thanks a bunch.

Nice
I like the story-telling; mother/child, the village in the distance, a storm coming.

I have no idea how you do this, the whole thing is perfect. Every tiny detail, even in the background, awesome shades, great sense of field, and those rays of light... you are a real artis and I'm just hoping to be able to do something like this one day.

Thank You!
light rays are always quite difficult to do. Usually, can easily overdo it with their opacity, too strong. Usually they should be very delicate.

wonderful work again - i love the light...
the other day i was underway with my daughter in an area a bit away from streets and towns, where a part of the old arm of a river goes through the fields - we saw beautiful old willows - well, not as big as the one in this picture but also very nice...

Thank you very much! I paint usually simple peaceful topics. Walks in nature in my always enable different look at the world, life, more open than the four walls of the house.
