Funny how that works - bonsai trees are designed too like old regular trees. And yet really old regular trees look like full-sized bonsai trees
Sometimes the tree doesn't even need to be old. I've seen mature trees that have been cut down to just their main trunk and branches, then when it sprouts back it create the unique look of a short tree with a thick trunk
