Description
Hi there,This is another concept for my book project The Crows´ Parliament. As you can see is an homage to Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows and the wonderful art of Arthur Rackham. In my book some of the characters of Graham's book (and from other victorian child book classics) appear in a very different and pop-surrealistic way. I hope you like it.
Done in Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Cintiq 12WX.I'll post the process and some details in my blog: [link]

One of my favorite books during my childhood. Very nice rendering and traditional feel to it. I'm also envious of the cintiq - in your opinion, how is it an upgrade from let's say a regular intuos4 L ?

The Intuos 3 and my Cintiq have the same pressure levels, the big difference is painting directly over the screen, you can achieve a bigger accuracy this way. Anyway I reccomend you the new Cintiq series, with more pressure levels (the same of the Intuos4) than mine.

¡Está excelente Juan! Te superás con cada nuevo trabajo, los detalles, la atmósfera, todo está increible. Además me gustaba mucho esa serie, tenía algo especial, tal vez fuera porque era chico cuando la miraba y por suerte tuve una niñez feliz. Gracias por traerme esos recuerdos de nuevo. Por otro lado, ¿tenés estimado cuánto tiempo falta para el libro? Saludos

En cuanto al tiempo que me falta para tener listo el libro, no sabría decirte porque lo voy haciendo a la vez que hago otros encargos, pero estará acabado antes de seis meses, eso seguro, y si encuentro una editorial que pague un buen adelanto o que vaya pagando por página como hacen en Francia entonces antes aún, porque le daría prioridad, claro
