Thanks you like the style!,I thought it was more of a prototype when I started it,I kinda liked it,and its also not time consuming.
You dont need to know whats going in the conversation,as its going to clear up in a few pages x].
With the bubbles I take it you mean the 5th panel?,or general?,because I added tails to every bubble,the connected bubbles belong to the same character,its like a break they take.
As for the 5th panel...Fox(the red cat)is speaking,I tried to disnguise both characters by giving him more "rudeness" when speaking,while Raven is more formal,or poethical,if that even makes sense xD
What would you suggest to make the bubbles more legible?.

Yes, fifth panel gave me some trouble. I do like that you're using diction and speech patterns with the characters, so few people understand just how important that is. But it's a little too early for me to know which is which just on speech alone. Once the comic, story, and characters are more developed, it will become easier.

Overall I do favor your style of speech bubbles; the way the bubbles connect, how you can tell the order which they go in, the subtle-partial black outline, and how the font doesn't look like some default. But in some of the panels, such as the second and fourth, it does look a little crowded. I'm not sure how you could even fix this, aside from smaller text or cropping out some of the excess white spots. It's rather difficult to say what would be effective and what would make it look worse.

I have never heard of that comic and I have to say,IT LOOKS AWESOME,thanks for sharing,cause I've been looking for a story with cats like this for a long time now.I feel rather flattered for comparing the story to such a high quality comic(did I even say that right? xD).
People are the same everywhere,I guess its common for them to drown cats in sacks aye? :\,, I've seen that too many times,but usually,here people dump newborn kittens in shopping bags or drown them in water tanks.

It indeed IS awesome
I fell in love immediately when I saw it first time and after I saw your comic, I though that there´s much same with Sandman´s comic.
Ah, they do that here in Finland too. I know some who also shoot some kittens or beat them to death and everything even more awful stuff. Don´t understand why they can´t get a male cat if they don´t wanna have kittens...
