like the title says; a random Alternate Universe that I randomly came up with. At first it was just gonna be a role swap between Shadow and Maria, then it turned into this.
might as well give 'em some stories.
Maria the Tenrec(not hedgehog); Created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik five years ago as a cure for terminal illnesses such as NIDS, named Maria because his aunt and uncle had always wanted a girl by that name; oh, and she's part wisp.
Shadow the Hedgehog; found one night on the doorstep of Dr. Ivo's aunt and uncle's home, since they were unable to conceive a child they happily adopted him as their son, they eventually discovered that he had a terminal illness known as NIDS and had to send him to their nephew since he was the only one in the world who could help him and had the heart to do it. he has occasional coughing fits which tends to send Maria, his best friend, into a paranoid fit. He has brown highlights, ash-grey fur/quills, and slightly duller eyes to show that he's unhealthy and doesn't have Chaos powers or alien DNA.
Miles 'Tails' Prower the 'Kitsune'; hero of the world, born genius, adoptive older brother of Sonic, arch-enemy of prof. Gerald.. I'm not sure this guy needs much of a story .
Nicolas 'Sonic' the Hedgehog; a young hedgehog boy with incredible speed, but little to no control of it, he has many scrapes and bruises from trips, failed stops, and other accidents. His biggest dream is to be a hero like his brother, which leads him to try and help him during missions, sometimes he does something right(some times completely by accident), others he just makes a fool of himself. Made him brown with splotches of blue and added a few stray quills and band-aids.
Rouge the bat; born with the 'mark of the guardian' she has resided on Angel island for as long as she can remember, taking her duty as guardian of the Master Emerald very seriously, though she may occasionally leave her position when her help is urgently needed, or if she decides to go treasure hunting.. or just to see if she can get herself laid.
Knuckles the Echidna; Famous treasure hunter and part-time spy if the money's good. His belt was originally going to be the famous hat from the STH movie, but I failed and scrapped that in place of a headband until I got to adding the belt and then decided 'why the hell not? .
Cream the rabbit; #1 fangirl of Tails, if she's not chasing him to the ends of the world, she's out shopping with Amy or looking for a way to win his heart, but don't underestimate her, she can easily kick your @$$ to next week, she also has a pet Chao.
Amy Rose; best friend of Cream, raised to be polite and well-mannered, but not afraid to use her hammer if necessary.
Silver the Hedgehog; telekinetic prince and guardian of the Sol dimension and Emeralds, He takes his job quite seriously and is not very fond of asking for help.
Blaze the cat; born into a ruined future with the power of fire manipulation, she comes to the past in an attempt to save it, so far it seems nothing has changed.
