I have Cinema 4D but I've never tried something like this before, how'd you get such interesting shapes with only an hour's work? I'm guessing there might be a "Matrix extrude" used on a cylinder, but I could be way off.
I could turn models like these into many things, coral, shells, unusual rock formations, plants on an alien world, they just look that bizarre, yet still natural

hum, I dunno if I can explain, but there's just a cilinder with some Extrudes and Extrudes Inner, and then some textures using "set selection" tool.

Lol, Ok then, that's sorta what I was expecting. The 3D art in my gallery is a mix of both Cinema 4D and Vue 6, there are certain things that Can be done easily in Vue that will take hours in C4D (like trees, and sharply-detailed mountains etc) I ususally use them both to get even better results than I'd get from using just one on their own...still, I'm always curious to see how others do theirs

some days ago I started using Vue 6 stream (is this the correct name), so, that was really hard to learn, even reading and following a lot of tutorials, lol

Yeah, it's a little tricky, since it's not a "generic modelling program" like C4D, Maya, Zbrush etc...it mainly focuses on Natural scenery, many use it to import their models into a nice natural scene with a realistic atmosphere, while others simply just do natural scenery alone with it. Features like actual volumetric clouds, the ability to instantly cover a scene with trees, and also have an infinite "water plane" are great
