Description
A really big mistake of palentology!!!The poor Oviraptor philoceratops ( his name means "egg thief" and "lover of ceratopsians" ) was named this way because of the first fossil beeing found over a nest that was supposed to be filled with protoceratops eggs... recently they discovered it was just a mother protecting her eggs from a sandstorm!
This gave me this silly idea of the Police Dept. in Mongolia, in late Cretaceous.
"This is the history of the Hurricane, the man the authorities came to blame... for something that he never done..."
Man... I may have broken something inside my head this easter... or maybe it's the clown flu! heheh sorry for the silly jokes

This is awesome! Poor oviraptor! The look on the police-raptor's face makes me feel sorry for whatever is in store for him...

Perfectly. Keeping up the law with iron claws... In late cretaceous Mongolia, violence on behalf of the police must have been quite common...

Well...I suppose you can call him this way! It is acctually the oviraptor, the dinosaur I talk about in the description. Read it and you will get it!

Schatten-Drache In reply to Felipenn [2011-04-26 20:21:42 +0000 UTC]
I read it - but the dinosaure mother says it was the bird! (all dinos with feathers are birds in my mind - because they lay eggs and have feathers!)
And when the police-dino will put this guy into the jail - he was the baby-killer!

hehe, I love our little mammal anchestors! First thought it was Megazostrodon, but this one lived much earlier (think in the triassic). Great piece, one of the best I've ever seen about ancient life forms on deviantart (damn, I'm an apple polisher )

Nice stuff! I'm just imagining the Protoceratop yelling with a grating, nasal accent "T'at one! T'at turkey-face took mah babbies!"

Oviraptor could've been a father: [link] Funny and expressive nonetheless. I think that dromaeosaurid cop wouldn't mind making a meal out of some eggs itself. XD

And yes, I agree with you...the velociraptor cop seens corrupt (I guess it has never been a surprise to find a corrut one, even in cretaceous!)

Maybe he found that his fellow theropod was innocent and that the ceratopsian was the real nest-raider (quite possible, as they were omnivores), so wanted to kill the ceratopsian for a)making him wrongly arrest his fellow maniraptoran b) for being the real criminal, and c) for fraud charges.
