Description This is a quote from Scar in the first animated Lion King movie - in the Dutch version only apparently. It has become one of my favourite quotes. Everybody sees the world though various senses and everybody has their own baggage of history that affects one’s perception and interpretation of the world around them. Different worlds, species, cultures, genders and simply individuals vary so vastly in the way they form their own truth, that it becomes a very personal experience in which every individual living being is unique.

:+fav: if you use this.

If only every source of information were accurate.

Yeah indeed, that's why it's good that everybody thinks critically for themselves. But one thing I find really annoying is how people just assume things about someone else and claim that as the absolute truth. Also, different species have a very different perception of the world, which further skews their "truth".

I don't know about the stage show or the CGI remake, but Scar never said that in the animated film.Β  As far as I can tell that is a Margot Robbie quote from I Tonya.Β  Still, a great stampΒ Β

"There is no such thing as truth...Β  Everyone has their own truth."

Yeah it was the Dutch version. I kinda assumed that it was literally translated, which -apparently- wasn't the case; my bad not to have checked that.

But yeah still; it's a good quote ^^

Okay, you can understand the confusion though, given you're typing in English.
