Description
A trompet player from Nõmmejazz summer festival.I tried to bring out the fingers but I love how the intense feelings are showing from behind.
Enjoy the magic.

Oh, this is awesome thing!
About the comments... I really don't know much what to say... I'm sorry but there were only few shots that grabbed my attention. One that I liked was "gently down the stream". A little off the left side and it would be great. Also eiffel_II needs the branches to be cleared.
Your work is a bit far from mine. sry.
But thank you again! I appreciate it.

You are right... The fingers are in the foreground, but the picture is made by the expression of the musician! I really like this shot.

What a wonderful mood in this photograph. W O W It's brilliant, really. I'm glad you have the focus on the trumpet and not the face. Everyone would do the face, but this just makes a whole different feeling come alive. In this... it's not about the musician, it's about the music, or rather, the feeling you get from listening to music. When I am watching a trumpet player put his heart into the music, I'm not looking at his face. I get fixated on the fingers. This photograph is spot on.
My only critique would be to have you up your shutter speed to avoid the slight blur, but you could have a good arguement against that because you want to show movement/energy. It's all about the effect here and you did quite well with it!

Thank you ... thank you ... thank you!!!
I hear your critique and agree 100% because I enlarged the photo and it doesn't look that good if looked from close distance.

This is one of my favorites of yours so far.
Do you have photoshop? I think a couple of tweaks in there would make it superb. If not, you could email me the file and I could try something for you if you'd like.
I'd do some high pass sharpening in the foreground and some noise filtering in the background. Just a touch, though.
Dang, I really love this image, friend!

I have Photoshop CS. I think I already did some sharpening on it. What's a high pass sharpening?

It's most of the way down on =ZeNeece 's tutorial list (3rd from the bottom, I think) [link] Look for "Selective High Pass Sharpening".
It's a great way to sharpen!

Hey, thank you!! It's a neat thing. There are so many possibilities in photoshop that I haven't used. Thanks to you I know one more thing!

well, it's a great photo, but I imagine how the photo was with the main frame on his face and not at the trompet..

I have one with the focus in his face too. But this one had a different approach.

Sõrmed võiksid teravamad olla. Aga seda vist valgus (või selle puudumine) ei võimaldanud. Kompsitsioon meeldib

Lahjuks nad liigutavad oma sõrmi ülikiiresti ja seetõttu on neid suht raske tabada paigal, kuid nõustun täielikult sinuga. Üritasin suurt pilti sellest välja trükkida ... ainult kaugelt sobib seda vaadata.
