Omg... Weeks of work... a lot of painting for the hair and in the water.
Many, many stock pics from sXc all magically blended together. Btw, Nixe, I believe, is german for mermaid.

nixe are German mermaids but they are usually freshwater mermaids.

was faving this when DA burned in hell last night so apparently it didn't go thru.
oh well. nice work on this one...technically perfect...i'm slightly disappointed by
the repetitive use of the seaweed thing though...mainly because it looks blatant.
amazing work with light, you know that's like...the most important thing to me.
and it's very clean cut and well shaven....or er...something...like..

I've seen a lot of mermaid manips, and a lot of times something just looks...off about them - like you can tell it's a stock photo of a girl with a fish tail pasted on. But this...this looks like you took your camera under water and captured a pic of a real mermaid. It's just so real looking. Besides the seamless merging of fish and human, the hair is beautiful, as is the water. Everything just fits together so perfectly. I absolutely LOVE this. Wonderful job!

Very very nice, I love the colours and youve done a great job mixing the stock photo's.
One thing that you could improve is the fact that the plants on the seabed are blantantly repeat (ie. the same image reused)

Beautiful. Actually, I kind of like how you can see where the legs should be together if she had any. It kind of makes it so the tail is a bit more human or something.

Light effects are pretty realistic, especially the pulsing waves reflected on the seabed. Good colors, but I think the tail part is a bit awkward where you can see the semblance of two legs.
