I like this movement! Just one question: it looks like you used Dodge for the highlights. Is that right?

Yes, I used the Dodge tool, but only in some parts, but I always tried to play with the shades of colors and Smudge. ^ ^

Mmmm just a small suggestion... try not to use dodge and smudge because this gives unnatural shading. Shading is actually a gradient of different colors, never a smudge, and light is not white. But that is just a suggestion, as you can see, I'm no professional. I can try and find the tutorial that explain why, although I think that it's all in Russian.

yes, it is true, they are tools that should be used with common sense.
MoreOver I have never been able to find tutorials that teach me how to do shadows so I made them a bit randomly being inexperienced with Photoshop^^

PS: could you advise me some tutorials?

Hmmmm... most of the tutorials I've read are in Russian XD
has a good tutorial that teaches shading *theory*.

This seems decent, but I don't use much photoshop, so I haven't tried it.

Mostly I would fill an area on a separate layer from the lineart, lock transparency, set your brush to hard round and low opacity, pick a color for light/dark, but never the black/white version. Message me if you would like a better description ><

yay I like it, you are improving. You still have to make something for the hair and a couple more of details, but it's definitly a great improvement!
