Description
This is the first piece I've made in a while that was not a custom pendant, or a ring. I set aside some of my best material a couple of months back to make a big super piece similar to "Plexus". However, I decided to separate it and make smaller pendants. This is the first that I came up with. This pendant has is made with sterling and fine silver. All the stones are crystals and include:Aquamarine(Vietnam)
Emerald(Brazil)
Spessatine Garnet x2(Nigeria)
Tsavorite Garnet(Kenya)
Euclase(Brazil)
Sphene(Pakistan)
Sapphire(Sri Lanka)
Thank you for looking PEACE
30mm x 54mm
1.2in. x 2in.

You know, what really worries me about wirework is that it's not stable. However, this looks REALLY stable. Thanks for showing us your work!

Once someone reached a certain difficulty of wire wrapping being able to hold the stones become second nature. I personally check each stone I set when it is set and when the piece is completed. I push them from the back with my pliers to make sure they wont get poped out that way and I pick at any protrusions from the front to check if they were ever caught on something from the front. Thank you for your comment

Yes, that's a very important thing to do, considering how expensive the stones are!

Wow! That is the most intricate wire wrap/weave I have ever seen here on dA! And at 2" long, it's still not that big! Amazing!

Gorgeous! That is the most ornate wire wrapping I've ever seen in the jewelry section And that's saying something
I'm quite awed. I wish I could do this sort of thing myself, but I lack the mind that can think of these beautiful geometric swirls. Well done!

It has an almost gieger-esque, biomechanical look to it. The lines make your eyes follow around it in winding patterns as they stop to showcase each stone. It is quite fascinating.
