i like the curve of your attitudei like the feel in your literature
hanging from the walls
crooked and cracked precisely
molding's coming down
and the paints chipping away
the buckle in the floor
proves it was well lived in
red tinted mailbox
has held hundreds of pages
with a thousand promises
i've made salutes to the wind
we're bothing facing the same direction
staring at the reflection
in my mind of him standing tall
he's staring at the backdrop sunset
against the flowing ocean
i'd float to you
feet against the sand
but the harder i swim against the current
the more you wash away
i forgot i painted my fantasy world
with water colors
