Every once and a great while I'll stumble across some nifty Final Fantasy VII fanart of Cloud being Cloud and swinging around his Buster Sword. I always thought, 'I should do something like that. I like that game a lot, and even that world'. Did I ever act on that thought. Nope. I think I might've drawn his sword once or twice with a stick man or two holding it, but that's as far as it ever went.

Today was different though. I saw some fan art and thought, 'I can do a better job on Clouds hair... actually, that looks like a fun hair-do to draw!' My adventures usually have such humble beginnings.

Most recently I've been playing Final Fantasy IX and Dissidia: Final Fantasy. I always thought it would be interesting to draw Cloud getting up to pull his sword from the ground after using Braver at an enemy. So I went to work.

As I started putting this on paper my mind started racing through the history of Cloud and how he game to being who he is, how he got his clothes, the sword and how he has the friends he has now. By the time I got to inking I was swimming in ideas.

"You're the one who can't let go!"

A fight. The stage; Cloud's mind. An ongoing struggle between Cloud, his guilt and his nemesis. All the rage, despair and hope poured into one fight. Again and again, just as life dictates.
