Description
I like to go through old Pokemon artwork, because it gives a look into the history behind the making of the games. Especially fun is when you come across unreleased beta creatures and old prototype designs of existing Pokemon.So here I've drawn Entei, as how it looked in the Gold/Silver sprites. While I think the design they went with was the best choice, the old design does have some potential.

Armour on belly? Makes a lot of sense since underbellies on animal are fragile areas so protection would be fitting.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the first reference image is a scan of an unofficial magazine who commissioned some terrible artist to draw the new Pokemon based on their sprites since they could not actually use their official images.
